Dr. Brandon Cohen, Atascadero Chiropractor

Dr. Brandon Cohen is excited to open Cohen Chiropractic and to be back on the Central Coast.  After graduating from Atascadero High School, he spent 2 years in Chile as a missionary, and then studied History at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT while fulfilling the necessary pre-chiropractic coursework.  He received his chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College, and had the unique benefit of working at the Veterans Affairs Hospitals in Rochester and Canandaigua, New York.  He was one of the first to be Head Intern at those facilities to guide and direct the students that came to work at those locations.

Dr. Cohen has received additional training in chiropractic technique and other procedures, including extremity adjusting and specialized soft tissue treatments.  He is certified in Active Release Techniques for upper and lower extremity, spine, and long tract nerves.  He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and personal trainer, and uses that education and experience to guide rehabilitation programs and training for his patients.

Following chiropractic college, Dr. Cohen opened a chiropractic office in Pittsburgh, PA.  As that practice grew, he had many unique opportunities.  Because of his experience in Active Release Techniques, Dr. Cohen and his practice was able to work with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins.  He also worked with many members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, dancers, triathletes and runners.  Dr. Cohen uses the same principles and treatments on all patients that he uses with his athletes.  He understands that we all rely on our bodies in order to work, live, and play, and wants everyone to be able to perform at their best.  His goal continues to be to help people feel and live better through better movement, better nutrition, and better thinking.
